After paying out 894 of the 900 money spots, the first day of SCOOP 2014 Event #42-L’s $100,000.00 guarantee NLHE 4-Max tournament nearly became the only day of this tournament as only two tables of three would survive. One of them, bevved would start the final table with the lowest chip count but ended up turning all of tournament funds into a SCOOP champion’s watch and $17,000.00 after a two-way deal.

Day one results

Among those capturing the cash on day one were MicroMillions 7 Event #34 winner MrP0P (17th place, $768.10) and Super Tuesday winner Marty “TheLipoFund” Mathis (88th place, $292.07).

For the SCOOP 2014 Player of the Series races Calvin “cal42688” Anderson continued his ironman feat of playing in every SCOOP event thus far but did not add to his 115 point lead in the Overall division after finishing in 3,627th place. Team PokerStars Pro George Danzer, currently holding third place in the Overall division (and also playing every event), would cash on the first day snagging five points for his 497th place finish ($75.84). Hopefully these two take a LONG nap after the series concludes today (unless they make day two of the Main Event).

The Player of the Series Low division featured a two-way tie up top going into the final day with only 40 points separating first from seventh. -Rebus1980-, still holding on to a tie for the lead for the SCOOP trophy and PCA 2015 package, would not gain any ground today finishing in 1,166th place and out of the money. That opened the door for pantri to grab 20 points with a 142nd place ($213.00) cash and possibly overtake -Rebus1980- for the title.

As for the six players remaining today over night chip leader a$$ou has a couple of Sunday Major final tables hitting the Sunday Million final table back in October 2012 (fifth place, $57,414.00) and winning the Sunday Warm-Up for $140,745.60 after a two-way chop. Play would start with 40K/80K ante 10K blinds with an average stack of 5.4 million with the chip counts below:

a$$ou (Canada) – 8,190,755
Antidiler(Russia) – 7,647,418
uha$anbDA (Bermuda) – 6,618,809
bevved(Israel) – 4,226,745
biszibosz (United Kingdom) – 3,547,501
adamg90(United Kingdom) – 2,633,772

Hand-for-hand play would be in effect immediately for our final six as 4-Max tournaments actually start with a five-player final table. adamg90 would do some big damage to biszibosz’s stack as the two shoved preflop for a 5.7 million chip pot. biszibosz’s Aâ™  Q♥ failed to connect on the all-low 5♦ 7â™  3♣ 3♥ 5♥ board sending biszibosz down to under 600K in chips.

Despite doubling up three hands later, biszibosz would not continue on to the final table. With the blinds still at 40K/80K ante 10K biszibosz would push all-in for 937,458 chips from the small blind holding 9♦ A♣ . bevved with 3.8 million total made the call with K♥ 10♣ and was greeted by two more tens bookending the 10♦ J♥ 2♣ 9♠ 10♠ board starting up the final table below:

Seat 1: Antidiler (7772418 in chips)
Seat 2: a$$ou (9000755 in chips)
Seat 3: uha$anbDA (5683809 in chips)
Seat 4: bevved (4820474 in chips)
Seat 5: adamg90 (5587544 in chips)

Four-max again

The first 20 minutes consisted mostly of smaller pots since all five players enjoyed a decent amount of chips in relations to the blinds. But, after uha$anbDA bluffed at the wrong pot against bevved and doubled up the former shortest stack in a 7.88 million chip pot, uha$anbDA would get knocked down to only 1.07 million chips. Two hands later with the blinds moving up to 50K/100K ante 12.5K uha$anbDA would make a play for the blinds by shoving from the hijack seat as it folded around to Antidiler in the small blind holding Q♣ A♥ and ready to make the call. uha$anbDA would turn up the dominated Q♦ 10♣ and turn over all tournament chips to Antidiler after the nine-heavy 9♠ 9♥ 9♣ 3♥ 6♠ board sent uha$anbDA home in fifth place ($2,439.87).

Temple Run ended

Antidiler’s avatar showing the popular Temple Run tiki face would end this tournament run in fourth place after going right instead of left. Watch below as Antidiler’s chips make their way over to a$$ou’s stack:

After nearly an hour since the first elimination and the blinds moving up to 80K/160K ante 20K Antidiler’s stack would take a big hit while doubling up bevved and three hands later Antidiler would open shove 1.66 million holding a medium ace Aâ™  8♦ . a$$ou would make the call on the button with Q♦ K♣ and due to a queen landing on the door Q♥ 5â™  J♣ 4♦ 3â™  Antidiler was no more finishing in fourth place ($3,855.06).

bevved believes

Forty minutes later with the 150K/300K ante 37.5K blinds now starting to pressure the trio of players more a$$ou led for min-raise from the button as bevved made it 1.38 million from the small blind. adamg90 folded as a$$ou shoved all-in for 6.7 million with pocket fives 5♥ 5♠ . Wasting zero time, bevved covered and called holding pocket jacks J♥ J♠ . The hooks had no problem on the K♠ 9♥ 7♥ K♦ 3♣ board as a$$ou was cleared from the table in third place ($6,288.47).

Immediately the players would sidebar for chop talks, agreeing to the amounts below (leaving $2,000.00 and the SCOOP watch to play for) as they would heavily favor bevved with a 25.2 million to 7.6 million chip lead:

bevved: $15,000.00
adamg90: $11,759.74

bevved lowers the boom

Just 10 minutes into heads-up play bevved would go on a run taking down eight of nine pots in a row and with a 28.6 million to 4.1 million chip lead, claim the extra $2,000.00 sitting in the prize pool in the hand below:

bevved would start off with a min-raise from the button as adamg90 shoved for 4.14 million holding A♥ 8♦ . bevved had no intentions of folding Aâ™  Qâ™  and made the call. No spades on the 3♦ 7♥ 9â™  K♣ 4♣ board but no eights meant bevved would be named SCOOP 2014 Event #42-L’s champion earning $17,000.00!
