Home / Uncategorized / MicroMillions 8: There’s only one QueenBee902 in Event #14 ($3.30 NLHE+R)

Playing poker on your tablet or mobile device has a lot of perks. You don’t need a keyboard, a mouse or a big screen, and you can play wherever and whenever you like. The downside is that it can be a little confusing to find the deal button, but that doesn’t matter when you’re chip leader on a major final table and you’re running like God. That pretty much sums up the evening of Canada’s QueenBee902. The name was appropriate as a dominant performance in MicroMillions Event #14 turned a $3.30 buy-in into five figures of glory for QueenBee902.

Event #14 of the MicroMillions was a $3.30+R No Limit Holdem event. A total field of 9,444 entrants combined for 12,771 rebuys and another 6,514 add-ons to produce a total prize pool of $86,187 to smash the advertised guarantee.

The top 1,260 players would finish in the money with a min-cash worth $15.51, but that prize would elude Israel’s ddfe760 by the narrowest of margins as the unlucky bubble.

When play reached the final two tables it was the unpronounceable Qetuo_Wryip who stormed to a massive chip lead with over double the next best. Qetuo_Wryip pushed that advantage which created a tricky situation approaching the final table where there was a large discrepancy between the big stacks and the shorties.

In the end, it would take over nine and a half hours of total play for the field to reduce to the final nine. That moment came when iausdfa moved all in with king-nine against grecin011’s king-queen. A queen on the flop was more than enough to see iausdfa bundled out in tenth place as the final table looked as follows:

Final Table Line up
Seat 1: Qetuo_Wryip (44,249,832 in chips)
Seat 2: GARETHNAGLE (11,036,784 in chips)
Seat 3: privador (4,070,013 in chips)
Seat 4: Vallentin81 (6,350,890 in chips)
Seat 5: maximusbri (12,376,251 in chips)
Seat 6: Binho.Blu.SC (20,275,030 in chips)
Seat 7: grecin011 (28,258,328 in chips)
Seat 8: cretzunike (12,245,780 in chips)
Seat 9: QueenBee902 (21,067,092 in chips)

There were a lot of chips in play, but with the final table blinds kicking off at 400k/800k/100k, there were a few players who were under a little pressure.

The play was pretty tight in the early stages, but perhaps that was partly due to the players getting rather distracted with an attempt to form the very rare nine-way deal.

GARETHNAGLE said, “NUMBERS?”
GARETHNAGLE said, “NUMBERS FOR DEAL????????”
maximusbri said, “lets have a look”
QueenBee902 said, “sure I’ll look”
QueenBee902 said, “I am on my tablet don’t know where the deal button is”

While the chat continued, privador was down to just over two big blinds which were committed from the small blind with 4♣ 8â™  . Vallentin81 called in the big blind with 5â™  Q♥ but fell behind when privador paired the 3♣ 6♦ 4♦ flop. However Vallentin81’s open-ender connected with the 2♥ turn, before the 2♣ river completed the board. privador departed in ninth place for $667.94.

By this stage, GARETHNAGLE had written “DEAL?” in the chat box more times than the number of pots he had won, but a big double up with ace-eight against QueenBee902’s dominated king-eight appeared to set GARETHNAGLE back on track.

However a cruel blow would fall upon GARETHNAGLE moments later when he three-bet all in with K♣ Kâ™  and was called by Qetuo_Wryip’s Aâ™  Qâ™  . The flop was devastating for GARETHNAGLE as the 3â™  10â™  8â™  board gave Qetuo_Wryip the nut flush. GARETHNAGLE had a glimmer of hope when the 3♣ paired on the turn, but the Q♦ would end GARETHNAGLE’s tournament in eighth place for $948.05 in prize money.

Binho.Blu.SC secured a double up with ace-king finding a king to get past maximusbri’s pocket queens to put maximusbri on the short stack. With the blinds ticking up, maximusbri had a bit over seven big blinds and 6♣ 6♦ was enough to move all in. From the small blind, QueenBee902 made the call and tabled 8â™  8♣ to have maximusbri in trouble. The board ran out 5♦ Q♣ 9â™  7♥ 5â™  to leave maximusbri on the rail in seventh place for a collect of $1,723.74.

Down to six and the players were still struggling to agree to pause the clock and talk about a deal.

grecin011 said, “Deal or not everybody?”
QueenBee902 said, “I have menu leave and lobby buttons”
Qetuo_Wryip said, “switch to a normal pc then”
Vallentin81 said, “push menu”
QueenBee902 said, “lol I’d have to logout and miss hands”
Vallentin81 said, “and after turnament info”
grecin011 said, “Host Just Queen need click info deal or more somebody?”
QueenBee902 said, “come on FFA”
grecin011 said, ” hmmmm”
QueenBee902 said, “have u been listening I can’t find the deal button on my tablet first time playing on tablet”
Vallentin81 said, “queen write pause”

While that was going on, Vallentin81 took the opportunity to jag a double up with ace-king against the jack-ten of QueenBee902, who was possibly still distracted by the menus on the tablet. But QueenBee902 was able to pull those chips back in a big clash with cretzunike. The flop read J♥ 10♥ 3♠ when cretzunike led out with a bet. QueenBee902 raised all in and cretzunike called it off with K♠ 10♠ for middle pair, but QueenBee902 had that notched with A♣ 10♦ . The turn was the 7♣ and river the 3♦ to leave cretzunike to take home $2,585.61 for sixth place.

With QueenBee902 now into a healthy chip lead, the clock was finally manually paused for the five remaining players to talk a deal with both chip chop and ICM numbers presented. The players argued back and forth with the big stacks obviously keen on the chip chop and the shorties wanting ICM. In the end, chip leader QueenBee902 agreed to fling $300 over to grecin011 based on the chip chop numbers and with that, we had ourselves a five-way deal.

The title and $1,000 were still in the middle to play for when play resumed and QueenBee902 wasted no time in getting back into the thick of the action. The short-stacked Binho.Blu.SC moved all in from early position with 9♦ 9♥ and QueenBee902 made the call holding K♦ Q♣ . The board ran out Q♠ K♣ 10♥ 5♠ 10♦ , pairing QueenBee902 twice to remove Binho.Blu.SC in fifth place for a post-deal total of $5,162.01.

grecin011 found a double up with pocket fours against Qetuo_Wryip’s ace-ten, as the pressure was back on the former chip leader. A short time later, Qetuo_Wryip three-bet all in with A♦ 2♥ but that was dominated as QueenBee902 called with 10♣ A♣ . There was a chance for a chop when the board paired on the turn, but ultimately the 6â™  5♣ K♦ 5â™  8♦ board left Qetuo_Wryip out in fourth place for $7,501.49.

QueenBee902 had two-thirds of the chips in play, but still had two opponents to overcome. Vallentin81 tried a bluff at the wrong time as QueenBee902 easily picked it off with trip aces, but it didn’t seem to matter who had the best cards as everything was going the way of the table “Queen”.

A short time later, Vallentin81 three-bet all in with Q♥ Qâ™  to be in great shape against QueenBee902’s 8♥ 8â™  . However the board arrived 4♥ 7â™  Kâ™  8♣ 2♣ to see QueenBee902 spike a miraculous two-outer at the right time to send Vallentin81 crashing unluckily to the rail in third place for $6,667.59.

Heads-up Chip Counts
Seat 7: grecin011 (31,076,656 in chips)
Seat 9: QueenBee902 (128,853,344 in chips)

Could grecin011 overcome the odds against the giant-killing QueenBee902? That answer would take just three hands to decipher.

With just over fifteen big blinds in hand, grecin011 moved all in with K♦ 3♦ with QueenBee902 making the call holding A♥ 9♦ .

Once again the cards fell the way of QueenBee902 as the board landed 9♠ A♣ 10♦ 4♥ 5♠ for two pair. grecin011 collected $5,787.00 for second place as the MicroMillions title and $11,052.81 went the way of Canadian QueenBee902 in an utterly dominant performance.
