Better get your abacus, slide rulers, graphing calculators, and Cray supercomputers out because tonight’s MicroMillions 7 Event #68 $3.30 5-Card PL-Omaha (6-Max) is sure to test the reaches of one’s mathematics grasp. Yes, the players still must use two cards in their hands, but the extra possible connector, or flush puts a premium on draws and redraws in a game that already pushes this tactic. Tonight’s winner used the right mix of light stepping around wrap draws while pounding away holding the goods. In the end, rendezvouz got two pair to hold and is $2,460.93 richer after taking down the title.

Love_dockter’s was carted off in 18th place ($100.70) just as the tables downsized from three to two. Oddly the overall chip leader MaisterMan was sitting out with 4.4 million chips and blinds at 30K/60K. MaisterMan would retain the lead by nearly two million chips going into the seventh hourly break over rendezvouz (Germany) and torakka321 (Finland) while re-joining the table and picking up a 500,000 chip pot on the last hand.

12 minutes into the seventh hour Fiegulo would take the last $100.70 prize in 13th place as MaisterMan’s chip lead still held as the blinds moved up to 40K/80K. Holding 4.8 million chips, MaisterMan was now being chased by torakka321 with 3.86 million. But, three hands after the combined tables came out of the right side of a boat over boat battle with (un)LuckyUKDude on a 4.24 million chip pot and pushed the chip leading stack over seven million chips.

In a three hand set on the adjacent table, rendezvouz would take out Irina_Baron (Russia) and WWISAN (Belarus) in 10th and 11th place earning $132.93 each to climb up to over five million chips as the blinds moved up to 50K/100K. robinheydorn was dealt a pat straight 7♦ 8♣ 10♠ 9♥ 6♦ and decided to shove in a smallish stack of 951,552 as rendezvouz looked to claim another elimination with K♦ 4♣ 10♥ 6♠ A♠ . Luckily for rendezvouz we are playing Omaha because the board complied with kings full 2♥ K♥ K♣ A♦ 6♣ knocking out robinheydorn in ninth place ($165.96).

Shortly afterwards djbernado also took home $165.96 in eighth place setting up hand-for-hand play. As the blinds moved up to 60K/120K SilvioPeters sitting on just 365,245 would shove from the button with a more than decent A♥ K♣ A♣ 10♦ 8♦ getting looked up by Niksi-Osmo in the big blind holding J♦ 2♥ Q♣ K♠ Q♠ . The J♥ 10♥ 6♦ 9♣ 8♠ notched a straight for Niksi-Osmo starting up the final table below:

Osmo not sticking around for the possible chop

Before the first cards were laid across the highlighted Event #68 final table, chip leader MaisterMan offered the table a chop. A little different from the norm but the added cards along with the six-max table may have upped the variance a little too high. However, three hands later with the blinds up to 60K/120K Niksi-Osmo would min-raise as MaisterMan called out of the small blind. Check-bet on the A♣ 3â™  6♥ flop led to a lot of action on the Jâ™  turn. MaisterMan checked as Niksi-Osmo came out with 840,000 chips. MaisterMan check-raised to 3.84 million but Niksi-Osmo was not backing down and called all-in with aces and a straight draw Q♣ 10â™  Kâ™  A♦ 8♥ . MaisterMan’s nut flush draw and low wrap draw 5♣ Aâ™  5♦ 4â™  2♦ would be the one to catch as the 7♣ completed the straight and Niksi-Osmo earned $241.69 in sixth place.

Maister is the master

Still holding a firm grip on the chip lead, MaisterMan still remained open for chopping up the prize pool. No deal from the final five going into the 80K/160K level as MaisterMan min-raised from the button. paypreview2 looking to get paid, three-bet to 1.12 million from the small blind as MaisterMan kept punching with four-bet to 1.92 million. payperview2 would call-in holding 2♥ 10♣ Qâ™  10â™  A♣ up against MaisterMan’s 7♣ K♥ 10♥ 8♣ 6♦ . MaisterMan would flop a flush draw but it would be a rivered straight 3♥ 9♥ 3â™  5♣ 8â™  that sent payperview2 home in fifth place ($456.80).

High card takes it

It’s rare in an Omaha game that high-card takes down a major pot. Add in another card and you get the toppled chip leader heading out in this hand below:

With the shortened stack, MaisterMan would be all-in on the turn 2♠ 5♠ 10♣ 6♥ holding 3♣ J♦ 7♥ A♥ Q♣ as torakka321 made the call with 4♣ A♦ K♦ Q♦ 9♦ . Ace-king trumped ace-queen on the 8♦ river as MaisterMan walked off with $765.36 in fourth place.

Rendezvous with heads-up play

Just eight hands later with the blinds at 200K/400K torakk321 would min-raise from the button as rendezvouz called out of the big blind. Jâ™  2♥ 7♥ flop got both player’s attention as torakka321 would be all-in holding top pair and the nut flush draw J♦ A♥ Q♦ 3♦ 5♥ as rendezvouz held on tight to top two J♣ Q♥ 6â™  7â™  9â™  . Top two will do tonight as the K♦ turn and 3â™  river failed to turn it around as torakka321 earned $1,248.75 in third place.

Meeting with the champ

Neither player wanted a long heads-up match as this one only lasted 15 minutes (with five minutes on the hourly time-out). With the blinds moving up to 250K/500K Rhadamanthe3 found a reason to try to overturn a 6.5 million to 20.2 million chip deficit after the A♣ 8♣ J♥ flop and shoved as rendezvouz made the call. Check out the results below:

Both players would flop two pair as Rhadamanthe3 showed aces and eights A♥ 8♠ 7♠ Q♦ K♣ and rendezvouz tipped over top two J♣ K♥ 10♠ 3♦ A♠ . Blank on the turn 9♦ and another one on the 2♠ river named rendezvouz the MicroMillions 7 Event #68 champ earning $2,460.93!
